As artists and institutions alike navigate an increasingly precarious cultural landscape, questions of sustainability—both financial and structural—have become urgent and unavoidable. This conversation considers what meaningful, long-term support for artistic practice can look like beyond traditional, market-driven frameworks, and how funding models might evolve to better sustain work that resists commodification. Sam Gill (President and CEO of Doris Duke Foundation) and Stephen Reily (Founding Director of Remuseum) will discuss how resources can be deployed with greater intentionality to ensure artists have the time, stability, and infrastructure needed to produce ambitious, career-defining work.
