In Partnership with MacDowell
As institutions shape the opportunities that define artistic careers, questions of equity and access remain central to how support is distributed. This conversation examines the responsibilities embedded in these decisions, exploring how organizations can more thoughtfully and transparently allocate resources while addressing systemic barriers to participation. Bringing together voices from across the arts ecosystem, Mary-Kim Arnold (Interim CEO & President of Alliance for Artist Communities), Jean Shin (MacDowell Fellow), Eric Shiner (President of Powerhouse Arts), and Ayesha Williams (Executive Director of The Laundromat Project and MacDowell Board Member) will reflect on the complexities of access and the care required to build more inclusive and responsive models of support. Moderated by arts journalist Helen Stoilas.
